Official data from the Labor Office showed that unemployment fell in Germany in September, as supply chain bottlenecks did not affect German industrial companies and the recovery of Europe's largest economy.
According to Arabiya Net, the Labor Office said that the number of the unemployed decreased by 30 thousand after the adjustment in light of seasonal factors to two million and 508 thousand. A Reuters poll had expected a decrease of 33,000.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5.5%. About 77.4% of German industrial companies announced that they faced difficulties in purchasing intermediate and raw materials this month, according to a survey published by the Ifo Institute on Wednesday. The institute stated that the percentage reached 97% among car companies.
