Hackers have managed to steal cryptocurrency from the Binance platform linked to Blockchain technology, with the value of the stolen coins amounting to 570 million dollars.
According to Arab Net, a Binance spokesperson said that the platform was suspended due to erratic activity and that hackers stole two million cryptocurrencies from Binance’s BNP that was worth $570 million at the time.
The CEO initially tweeted, noting that an estimated $100 million in cryptocurrency had been stolen. But he returned to tweet addressing the investors: Your money is safe.. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Binance, which describes itself as the largest crypto exchange by trading volume, is the latest company to be affected by a major heist this year.
