A network that specializes in cryptocurrency exchange announced, on Tuesday, that hackers have breached its security systems and extracted a record haul of $600 million.
PolyNetwork has published a petition asking traders who manage cryptocurrency wallets to avoid stolen tokens from Ethereum, Binance Chain and Ox Polygon.
According to Al Arabiya.net, Polly Network sent a message to the hackers via Twitter, in which it said: The amount of money you have stolen is the largest in the world (Devi), in reference to to the decentralized finance system.
The money you stole belongs to tens of thousands of crypto community members.
Poly Network threatened to use the police, but also offered its hackers a chance to reach a settlement.
The US Department of Justice and the FBI did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Poly Network said in a series of tweets: "We regret to announce that we have been attacked, assets have been transferred to accounts controlled by hackers, and we have published addresses used by hackers."
Poly Network also did not respond to an AFP request for comment, but Twitter users created accounts and estimated the hackers' booty at $600 million.
This year, the total number of cryptocurrency thefts, hacking and fraud as of the end of April and so far has amounted to about $432 million, according to an analysis by SafeTrace, a network that specializes in protecting crypto assets.
