Mubadala Investment Company and BlackRock are in talks to invest in a new renewable energy company from India's Tata Power.
According to Arabiya Net, sources told Bloomberg that Mubadala plans to pump $200 million, in return for half a billion dollars in investment from BlackRock.
The new entity is estimated to have a value of $5 billion and will include all of Tata Power's renewable energy assets, including hydropower, as well as the transportation business. and distribution, with the exception of coal-fired power projects.
