ACWA Power shares continued to shine in the main market of the Saudi Stock Exchange at the end of trading on Sunday, as the share jumped to its highest price level ever, achieving strong gains that jumped the company’s market value, and strengthened its presence in third place among the largest Saudi companies listed in terms of market value.
ACWA Power snatched the third place as the third largest company by market value in the Saudi market from the two giants; the National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation SABIC.
ACWA Power achieved gains in market value during today’s session amounting to 20.47 billion riyals, to strengthen its presence in the third place in terms of market value on the Tadawul level, and its market value jumped to 258.08 billion riyals, compared to 237.61 billion riyals in last Thursday’s session.
ACWA Power came in third place behind Saudi Aramco, which leads Saudi companies in market value with a value of 7.538 trillion riyals (down by 24.2 billion riyals in today’s session), and Al Rajhi Bank, which comes in second place with a market value of 340.4 billion riyals (down by 4.4 billion riyals) from the previous session.
ACWA Power took third place in the ranking of the largest companies in terms of market value in the Saudi market, after surpassing SABIC, whose market value reached 232.2 billion riyals at the end of Sunday’s trading, where it witnessed stability compared to the previous session.
ACWA Power also outperformed the National Bank, which fell to fifth place, with a market value of 231.9 billion riyals at the end of today’s trading, compared to 233.1 billion riyals in the session last Thursday, March 14, 2024.
It is noteworthy that the market value of the Saudi stock market decreased in today's session by 6.2 billion riyals, reaching 11.115 trillion riyals, compared to 11.121 trillion riyals at the end of trading in the previous session.
ACWA Power shares achieved gains during today's session, Sunday, by 8.63%, which is the fifth highest rate of increase since its listing on the market, and the highest rate since the session of June 21, 2022, when it closed with gains of 9.87%.
The price of ACWA Power shares jumped at the end of today’s session to its highest level ever, reaching 353 riyals at the end of trading, gaining 28 riyals in today’s session compared to its price at the end of the previous session at 325 riyals.
The value of trading on the stock during the session amounted to 182.9 million riyals, through trading on 533.91 thousand shares, through more than 6 thousand transactions.
The Saudi Stock Exchange ended Sunday's trading session in green, continuing its gains for the fourth consecutive session.
The general index of the market, TASI, closed up by 0.27%, with gains of 33.9 points, rising to 12,762.43 points.
