The first U.S. exchange-traded fund to invest directly in the Ethereum cryptocurrency saw a net inflow of $107 million after its official launch on Tuesday, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust had the highest total at $267 million, followed by Bitwise Ethereum at $204 million and Fidelity Ethereum Fund at $71 million.
The market also traded more than $1 billion worth of shares in the nine exchange-traded funds on Tuesday.
The launch of the Ethereum funds comes six months after U.S. regulators approved the first spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). These funds have attracted net investment inflows of more than $17 billion so far this year.
