The World Tourism Organization expected that the tourism sector losses in the coming period will reach approximately $ 80 billion due to the spread of the Corona virus.


According to ArabiaNet, the organization revealed losses incurred by the sector since the beginning of the Coruna outbreak amounted to 12 billion dollars due to the closure of a large number of tourist destinations worldwide, and the cancellation of many tourist trips around the world.


The tourism sector in Asia and the Pacific countries bordering the Pacific Ocean, according to the Economist's website, was the most affected by the outbreak, as its losses were estimated at 7 billion dollars so far.


The Chinese market had not a few losses due to the outbreak of the Corona virus from the country, which caused the closure of tourist destinations, as this market exports to the world 180 million tourists, spending $ 277 billion annually.
