Etihad Airways has announced the addition of additional evacuation flights to the previously announced special flight schedule, with these flights starting from Abu Dhabi to Brussels, Dublin, London, Tokyo and Zurich.
According to WAM, Etihad began operating evacuation flights to return stranded travelers in the Emirates due to airline restrictions to curb the new Corona virus (Covid 19) to their home countries and in support of the program Food security in the Emirates through the use of passenger transport aircraft to transport goods.
The company continues to transport Emirati citizens who wish to return to the country when possible and transport fresh goods on return trips to Abu Dhabi.
Besides these destinations, Etihad continues to operate evacuation flights from Abu Dhabi to a number of destinations, including Amsterdam, Jakarta, Manila, Melbourne, Seoul and Singapore.
Tickets for these trips can be booked on the airline's website, through their mobile application, or by calling the Etihad Airways Contact Center.
Emirati citizens wishing to return to the UAE should contact the UAE embassy or consulate in the country they are in.
