The regular general assembly of Saudi Almarai Company agreed to distribute cash dividends of 850 million riyals, at the rate of 0.85 riyals (85 halalas) per share for the year 2019.
According to ArabiaNet, the company’s statement indicated that the dividends are entitled to the shareholders who own the shares on the day of the meeting, and who are registered at the end of the second trading day after the due date.
It also noted that the profits will be disbursed starting from Sunday, April 13, 2020 AD, through the Saudi British Bank (SABB).
During the meeting, the association approved the consolidated financial statements for the year 2019, and the members of the board were discharged for that period.
Almarai announced yesterday that the company's quarterly profit after zakat and tax increased to 383 million riyals in the first quarter of 2020, compared to 336 million riyals in the first quarter of 2019, an increase of 13.9%.
Compared to the previous quarter’s profits, Almarai achieved a 22.7% increase in first-quarter profit, which was 311.9 million riyals.
The operating profit of Almarai Company in the first quarter reached 512.8 million riyals, compared to 486.3 million riyals in the first quarter of 2019, an increase of 5.4%.
