Oil prices rose marginally during Asian trading with Hurricane Delta approaching the Gulf of Mexico, despite persistent demand concerns with US oil stocks rising for the first time in four weeks.

predictions indicate that the hurricane will intensify into a Category 3 storm with winds of up to 120 mph (193 km / h).

Brent crude futures for December delivery rose 0.3%, or 13 cents, at $ 42.12 a barrel.

US crude futures for November delivery rose 0.15% to $ 40.01 a barrel.
