The total assets of the Emirates Central Bank increased by 10.3% to reach the level of 457 billion dirhams at the end of February 2020, an increase of 42.6 billion dirhams, compared to 414.4 billion dirhams during the month of February 2019.


According to the Emirates News Agency, the Central Bank data showed that the rise in the assets of the Central Bank came with the support of the rise recorded in the item of cash and bank balances, which reached the level of about 243 billion dirhams at the end of February of this year compared to 188.12 billion dirhams in the same month of 2019.


The balance of the deposits item at the Central Bank increased to approximately 143.4 billion dirhams in February, compared to 115.3 billion dirhams in February 2019, according to statistics issued by the bank.


On the level of the balance of the other assets item, it increased from 3.63 billion dirhams in February 2019 to 6.7 billion dirhams in February 2020, while the balance of the investment item decreased from 104.22 billion dirhams to 64 billion dirhams during the same comparison period.
