The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies in OPEC+ expect the global economy to grow healthily despite inflation challenges.

The Secretary-General of the Organization, Haitham Al-Ghais, said at the Argus European Crude Oil Conference on Tuesday that the performance of the United States economy is very good even though the European economy is suffering, and he pointed out that expectations indicate that the annual growth of the Chinese economy will range between 4.5 to 5 percent.

Despite his statements that this was slower than expected, he said that we still see that the global economy is growing healthily despite all the challenges and pressures.

Al Ghais highlighted the growth opportunities in the aviation sector, saying there is still room for improvement in the aviation sector, and therefore we are very optimistic about demand.

He added that OPEC+ is taking a proactive and preventive approach to achieve stability in the crude market.
