Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the first low-cost budget airline based in Abu Dhabi, begins the official launch of its operations from July 14, 2020.

According to ArabiaNet, the company will start direct flights linking the UAE capital with the cities of Alexandria and Sohag in Egypt.

The first flights will take off from Abu Dhabi to Alexandria on July 14, while flights to Sohag will start the next day, according to a statement issued by the company.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will start operations with two Airbus A320 planes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, and will provide its passengers with the value-added services provided by Air Arabia in its various operations centers.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is the result of an agreement between Etihad Airways and Air Arabia, to launch an economical airline as an independent joint venture with headquarters and a major operational center. The first economic airline was established in the capital Abu Dhabi in line with the Air Arabia business model for low-cost travel services, and it complements the services provided by Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi, to meet the growing demand in the region for economic air travel.
