The 23-year-old French star Kylian Mbappe tops the list of the highest-paid players in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, a tournament hosted by Qatar.

It is noteworthy that Mbappe helped France only four years ago to win the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1998, and he was chosen as the best young player in the event hosted by Russia.

In second place on the list is Argentine Lionel Messi – 35 years old – who has already said that the 2022 World Cup will be his last, and it is expected that the same will be the case for Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, who will turn 38 in February.

In total, the five highest-paid players at the World Cup are expected to earn a total of $452 million this season.
