US stock indices rose at the end of Tuesday's session, amid expectations of a soft landing for the US economy, as inflation is controlled without causing large numbers of layoffs or recession.
At the end of trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose at 37,545 points, adding about 0.45%, or 159 points.
The value of the S&P 500 index increased by about 0.4%, equivalent to 20 points, at 4,774 points, while the Nasdaq index rose by about 0.55%, equivalent to 81 points, at 15,074 points.
The gains were supported by energy companies, as the S&P 500 sector index rose by about 0.9% with the increase in oil prices, and the value of shares of ABA, Marathon Oil, and Halliburton rose by approximately 3.7%, 2%, and 1.25%, respectively.
