US stocks rose in the first session of the week, continuing the upward wave they achieved over two weeks since the beginning of January 2024, supported by expectations of declining inflation.
At the end of trading on Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.35%, or 138 points, to its second record close this month, which reached 38,001 points, after touching 38,109 points.
While the value of the S&P 500 index increased by 0.2%, or 10 points, at 4,850 points, which is the second record close in a row, after exceeding the level of 4,796 points that it recorded in January 2022, at the end of last week.
The Nasdaq index also ended the session higher by 0.3%, or 49 points, at 15,360 points.
