The financial statements of the Integrated Telecommunications Company - du showed that the net profit for the third quarter increased by about 43%, recording about 719 million dirhams. The profits were supported by an increase in the period’s revenues by about 9%, in addition to a decrease in financing costs.

Net profit increased by about 50% at the end of the first nine months of the year to more than 1.9 billion dirhams, due to an increase in revenues of about 7%.

While the profit for the period before the federal royalty on profit and corporate income tax increased by more than 101%.

During the period, capital expenditures decreased by about 8.8% to about 1.3 billion dirhams.

It is noteworthy that the mobile phone subscriber base grew by 2.7% year-on-year to reach 8.3 million subscribers, while fixed phone customers recorded a growth of 14.2% year-on-year.

In a related context, and in a press conference earlier this month, the CEO of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company - du, Fahad Al Hassawi, announced the expansion by adding and launching two new brands in two new sectors, du Tech and du Infra.
