The Legal Adviser at the Office of the United States Trade Representative, Stephen Vaughn, will leave his post this week before the start of a new round of negotiations between his country and China.

It was not yet clear the reasons for the resignation of Vaughn, who was part of the trade negotiations team on more than one front, where he participated in the free trade negotiations for North America and the negotiations currently taking place with China.

The move comes at a critical time as the United States and China aim to conclude a historic deal by next June that will put an end to the trade war between the two sides.
