French Finance Minister Bruno Le Mer announced that his country's economy will shrink 11% this year due to the Corona virus crisis.

According to Reuters, Le Meir told RTL radio that we had been severely affected by the virus, we have taken effective measures to protect the health of the French people, but the economy practically stopped for three months.

"We will pay the price from the growth," he added, adding that a budget update being prepared is expected to shrink by 11 percent, compared to an earlier forecast of 8 percent.
