The King of Bahrain, in a telephone conversation with Trump, welcomed the American efforts to maintain security and stability in the region and the active role played by the US military command forces to protect international navigation in the Persian Gulf. And the Arabian Sea and the Bab al-Mandab.
The king praised the strong friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries and the common desire to enhance and develop them.
The king of Bahrain also stressed the importance of international cooperation to confront the Corona pandemic.
The White House confirmed the phone call and said that the two countries would work together to tackle the Corona epidemic.
"The President and King (Hamad) will continue to work together to defeat the virus, reduce its economic impact, and focus on sensitive regional issues," he said in a statement.
The statement continued by thanking President King for Bahrain's strong support for the efforts made to achieve peace in the Middle East and for hosting the American Fifth Fleet.
