The Russian MTS Bank announced the launch of its first test phase for the real digital ruble, which will allow customers to open their own accounts in the digital ruble and test the capabilities of the new digital currency. Meanwhile, PSB announced the successful completion of the first digital ruble transfer.

Through the test program launched by MTS Bank, users will be able to open their bank accounts using their mobile phones, use digital rubles for purchases and transfers, and even automatically create transactions using QR codes.

The move follows previous tests conducted by the bank with the help of the Central Bank of Russia, through which the bank tested the possibility of creating accounts and transferring digital rubles to individuals.
