US President Donald Trump urged Microsoft Corporation to fully acquire China-owned TikTok rather than just part of its operations.
>According to (CNBC), Trump said that Microsoft should pay a commission to the American treasury because it facilitated the acquisition.
"I think buying 30% is complicated, and I suggested that Microsoft go ahead with the acquisition of Tik Tok completely ... it can try," Trump told reporters on Monday. p>
Trump was referring to his talk over the weekend with Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadellat.
Comments come one day after Microsoft confirmed in a statement that it had considered purchasing TikTok in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
