The Central Bank of Kuwait issued treasury bills worth 240 million dinars ($ 777.83 million) for three months, at an average interest rate of 1.25%.


According to the Kuwait News Agency, the central bank also issued treasury bills at the end of March for six months, at a value of 240 million dinars, with an average return of 1.375%.


The Kuwaiti Cabinet approved, earlier, a bill to increase the budget of ministries and the government by 500 million dinars for the year 2020/2021 due to the widespread spread of the Corona virus.


The Council of Ministers established a temporary fund to receive financial contributions from institutions, companies and individuals to support the government's efforts to combat the spread of the Corona virus.
