British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a second national lockdown, starting next Thursday for a period of 4 weeks, to avoid the collapse of the health system due to the high cases of Coronavirus.

According to Arabiya Net, Johnson said that non-essential goods stores and places of hospitality and entertainment will be closed, while schools and universities will be excluded from the decision and will remain open to receive students. Also, travel from Britain will be banned except for necessary business purposes.

The Prime Minister added that he deeply regrets the damage caused by the closures to companies and businesses, adding that the government will continue to subsidize 80% of wages during the month of November.

This came after injuries in Britain exceeded the million mark, while officials warned that deaths in Britain are likely to rise significantly more than what happened during the first wave of the outbreak Virus.

Johnson had hoped that a set of regional restrictions would be sufficient to contain the virus, but government scientific advisers predict that in the current course of the outbreak, demand for hospital beds will soon exceed their capacity .
