Emaar Properties announced the making of adjustments to the company's senior management.

According to Al Bayan newspaper, the company’s board of directors that convened last Thursday elected Jamal Bin Thania as chairman and Ahmed Jawa as his deputy.

The Board elected Muhammad Ali Al-Abbar as Managing Director of the company, as it was decided that the Chairman and founder of Emaar would be devoted to executive management matters and daily follow-up of the company's affairs.

The new amendments came at the request of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the Board was keen to comply with the provisions of Article No. (7) (b) of the Public Shareholding Corporate Governance Manual attached to the Chairman of the Board of Directors’s decision. Authority No. (3 / R.M) of 2020, which prohibits combining the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors with any executive position in the company.
