The Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, SAMA, expected that the Kingdom's economic growth will increase during the current year with the support of the non-oil sector.

According to Reuters, Al-Khulaifi added during an economic conference in Riyadh that it is too early to fully determine the economic damage caused by the Corona virus, which started in China and spread throughout the world.

The International Monetary Fund announced in January that it expected the Saudi economy to grow 1.9 percent this year, up from about 0.4 percent in 2019. But the kingdom's economic growth forecasts for 2020 were revised down from 2.2 percent due to lower oil production.
