The results of a recent survey showed that the respondents expected that the UAE economy would achieve a growth of about 4.8% during the current year (2022), which if achieved would be the highest for the country in its GDP since a year 2015.

The above-mentioned survey was conducted by Reuters from January 11 to 19, and 25 economists participated in it, according to the Emirati newspaper Al Bayan.

Experts who participated in the survey expected that the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council in general would achieve rapid and fastest growth for many years.

The results of the survey come in light of the remarkable recovery achieved by the economies of the Gulf countries to varying degrees over the past year from the repercussions of the outbreak of the "Covid-19" pandemic.

With regard to the inflation rates expected to be recorded by the GCC countries this year, the results of the survey expected the rates to be modest.

It also expected that the lowest inflation rates in the GCC countries this year would be in the UAE, at 2%.
