Twitter expects financial losses in the first quarter of this year, due to the effects of the spread of the Corona virus.

According to the newspaper, the American company said in a statement that it expected a slight decrease and decline in sales this quarter compared to the same period in the previous year.

Chief Executive Officer Ned Seagal said in a statement: Covid-19's influence in Asia started, and it had affected Twitter's advertising revenue globally and dramatically over the past few weeks, with its emergence as a global pandemic.

However, the company stated that the crisis expanded the number of its employees on a daily basis.

Twitter is expected to provide a detailed report on first-quarter earnings on April 30th.
