Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has called on the public and stakeholders to exercise caution against any fraudulent or scam attempts, which include fraudsters impersonating its officials, or impersonating representatives of its management team, and/or entities associated with it, in order to commit fraud against members of the general public or its stakeholders.
The market said in a statement that it was notified that fake materials and information were created by fraudsters by obtaining copyrighted and trademarked materials from its official website and advertisements.
He urged the public and stakeholders to be cautious of such behaviour and report any potential fraud, suspicious emails and phishing attempts using a fake identity to the relevant authorities in the UAE or to the regulatory authority in the country concerned.
The market stressed to the public not to respond to any person or company claiming to represent the market, and that personal information should not be disclosed or money transferred to unknown individuals.
He stressed that he does not communicate with the public to request any investments from them directly, nor does he request any personal or financial information directly.
