The French government plans to tighten travel restrictions to and from Britain to limit the spread of the Omicron coronavirus, which broke out in Britain.

According to Arabiya Net, government spokesman Gabriel Attal said: We will put in place a system of controls that are stricter than what we already have.

He added that returning travelers would need to test negative for the virus in less than 24 hours, which is a quarantine that is imposed upon returning to France.

Tourist trips will be limited between the two countries.

Britain had declared a state of extreme emergency after the first death in Omicron, and had raised the level of epidemiological risk regarding Corona to the fourth degree.

On Monday, Britain began implementing work-from-home policies, as part of a set of restrictions to control the outbreak of the new Corona mutant, Omicron.
