The Saudi Stock Exchange (TASI) index plummeted today, falling below 9,500 points and reaching its lowest level since April 2021, after losing 2% in today's trading at 11:46 AM Riyadh time, with the Nomu index also falling by 0.7% at the same time.

Today, 52 companies and funds recorded their lowest level since listing on the market, while more than 200 companies experienced a general bottom, led by Al Rajhi Bank, amid weak liquidity that did not exceed 1.5 billion riyals.

The insurance, investment and finance sector led the losses on the stock exchange today, with a collective decline across all sectors.

The decline comes to complete a series of losses that entered its fifth session today, amid violent geopolitical turmoil and escalating flames of war in the Middle East with multiple conflicting parties, and the rise of WTI crude oil to $103.4 per barrel and Brent crude to $116.9 per barrel, amid global crises resulting from rising prices globally, especially in Europe.
