The net international reserves of the central bank grew by 1.1% during the month of August of 2020.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the value of reserves increased to 353.15 billion dirhams, compared to their balance in July of the same year of 349.25 billion dirhams.
The statistics issued by the Central Bank of the Emirates show the return of growth to its balance of international reserves in general since August of this year, supported by the improvement recorded in the components of this item .
and the Central Bank's balance of foreign securities rose to 12.66 billion dirhams during the month of August compared with 9.17 billion dirhams in the previous July, while the balance of other foreign assets increased to 32.43 billion dirhams.
It is mentioned that the level of international reserves is one of the factors that enhance global confidence in a country's economy, as it contributes to providing an atmosphere of reassurance for foreign investors.
