The control teams of the Ministry of Trade and Investment in Saudi Arabia, with the participation of the security authorities and the secretariat of Al-Ahsa Governorate, seized 11 tons of Al-Mussal and Al-Jarak, which are anonymous and do not carry commercial data in a farm in Al-Ahsa Governorate.
The ministry received a report stating that there is employment that uses a farm for suspicious purposes, and immediately the Ministry's supervisory teams, with the support of the security authorities and the provincial secretariat, arrested the farm.
With the inspection of the farm, it became clear that it was used by illegal workers as a factory to manufacture honey and cracks, and to fill it in empty boxes and put labels bearing well-known trademarks.
Also found on the farm were large quantities of products used to make honey and garlic, which included more than 250 kilograms of honey and 9 thousand kilograms of honey flavors, and 1600 kilograms of garlic, in addition to quantities A large number of essential oils and materials used in the manufacture of honey and garlic.
The ministry confiscated and destroyed the seized quantities, closed the site, handed over the violating workers to the police, and called the farm owner to complete the regular procedures.
The Ministry affirmed the continuation of its monitoring tours of warehouses and all commercial establishments to ensure the regularity of its business, the absence of fraud practices, circumventing consumers, and exploiting the demand to buy in selling and marketing any goods that do not match or Imitated or adulterated.
She noted that statutory penalties are applied to non-compliant establishments according to the anti-fraud law, whereby the sale of any products that violate the law is a violation that requires a fine of no more than one million riyals or imprisonment for a period that does not More than three years or both together with the closure of the facility, in addition to publishing the summary judgment in two newspapers at the expense of the violator.
The Ministry of Trade and Investment called on all consumers to report any violation, by calling the Communications Center on 1900, or by applying a commercial notification.
