The number of industrial establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi increased by 57% during the year 2019 to reach 66 industrial establishments with an investment value of AED 6.29 billion compared to 42 establishments during the year 2018.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the Industrial Activity Movement report in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for the year 2019 showed that the total industrial licenses registered in Abu Dhabi as of the end of 2019 reached 1,552 licenses that included 811 licenses in the state of production, 535 licenses under the status of construction, and 206 licenses of industry leaders.
His Excellency Rashid Abdul Karim Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development Abu Dhabi stressed the importance of the role of the Industrial Development Office in providing a stimulating and fostering business environment and a positive and favorable investment climate for the industrial sector in the emirate, by continuing to find appropriate solutions to the challenges of the industrial sector through the implementation of strategic initiatives that support industrial investors.
