UAE stock market indices declined in midday trading on Monday, affected by increased investor caution as they continued to assess ongoing developments in the Middle East and their economic repercussions.
According to trading data, the Dubai Financial Market index declined by 0.146% to reach 5948.52 points. The total value of trades reached approximately AED 276.154 million, with 175.376 million shares traded through 6,054 transactions.
This decline was directly pressured by the drop in shares of Dubai Islamic Insurance & Reinsurance Company (Aman), which topped the list of the biggest losers with a 4.545% decrease, while Agility Public Warehousing led the list of gainers with a 7.821% increase.
Emaar Properties' stock accounted for the largest share of trading value at AED 80.975 million, while Drake & Scull's stock led in terms of volume with 68.207 million shares traded.
In the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, the general index deepened its losses, declining by 1.853% to 10,081.47 points. Total market liquidity reached approximately AED 395.047 million, with 136.110 million shares traded across 9,675 transactions.
The share of International Holding Company topped the list of the most declining shares with a decrease of 4.635%, while the share of Al Buhaira National Insurance Company topped the list of winning shares with an increase of 5.385%.
Pure Health Holdings stock attracted the largest liquidity with a value of 44.998 million dirhams, while Investment Bank stock remained the most active in terms of volume with 19.029 million shares traded.
