Saudi Aramco has signed contracts for the second phase of the Jafurah field project, in addition to contracts for the third phase of the company’s main gas network expansion project.

Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said the contracts for the second phase of the Jafurah field project and the third phase of the planned expansion of the main gas network are worth $25 billion.

He added during the contract award ceremony conference, Sunday, that the first project is the expansion of the gas system, which has been the backbone of Saudi Arabia for five decades.

Al Nasser explained that the expansion of the gas network amounts to 4,000 kilometers of pipelines, which increases the network’s capabilities and connects different Saudi cities to this network.

He pointed out that business sectors in the cities of Jeddah and Jazan will obtain gas from this system for the first time, which supports the industrial sector and creates job opportunities for Saudis.
