AXA Cooperative Insurance Company's financial statements show an increase of 31.6% in the first quarter of the current year, year-on-year.

According to the results of the company for the Saudi market (Tadawul) today, the profits for the period (before zakat) reached 35.31 million riyals, compared to profits of 26.83 million riyals in the first quarter of the year 2019.

The company said that the increase in profits during the comparison periods is due to the increase in surplus from insurance operations (mainly due to the improvement in the property and accident sectors).

In addition, the increase in investment returns by 1.543 million riyals for policyholders and shareholders combined contributed to an increase in net profit before zakat and tax compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
