The financial statements of the National Mobile Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo Kuwait) showed that the company's profits fell in the first half of this year by 90.4% on an annual basis.

According to the results of the company for the Kuwaiti stock market today, Thursday, profits for the period amounted to 1.66 million dinars, compared to 17.324 million dinars for the first half of 2019.

The company said in a statement to the Stock Exchange that the decrease in profits during the comparison periods is due to the effect of the spread of the new epidemic of Corona (Covid 19).

The company pointed out that the profits for the first quarter of this year amounted to 1.724 million dinars, compared to the profit for the corresponding period of 2019 of 8.809 million dinars, a decrease of 80.4%. p>

As for the second quarter of this year, the company witnessed a loss of 64 thousand dinars, compared to the profits of the same period last year of 8.515 million dinars.
