The financial statements of the mobile operator (Zain) showed the company's profits in the first half of this year decreased by 13.9% on an annual basis.

According to the results of the company on the Kuwaiti Stock Exchange today, profits for the period amounted to 83.72 million dinars, compared to profits of 97.29 million dinars in the first half of 2019.

The company said that the decline in profits during the comparison periods is mainly due to the effect of the emerging Corona virus (Covid 19) on all the main markets of the group.

The company recorded a profit of 47.577 million dinars in the first quarter of this year, compared to a profit of 47.086 million dinars in the same period in 2019, an increase of 1%. < / p>

The company also achieved profits of 36.143 million dinars in the second quarter of 2020, a decrease of 28% over the profits for the same period in 2019 of 50.205 million dinars. p>
