Profits of companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange during the first nine months of 2023 decreased by 7.7% on an annual basis to 37.4 billion riyals.

The banking and financial services sector accounted for 58% of the profits of listed companies, to about 21.9 billion riyals, supported by the increase in profits of 7 banks issued by Qatar National Bank, compared to the decline in profits of Doha and Al Rayan Banks.

Three out of seven sectors recorded a decline in their net profits, led by the industrial sector with a decrease of 41%, reaching 7 billion riyals, then the services and consumer goods sector by 34.3%, followed by the real estate sector by 4.2%, to about 1.25 billion riyals.
