Saudi Almarai Company's net profits rose 9% during the first quarter of this year, while sales increased by 7.7%.
According to what the company revealed today, Sunday, April 21, Almarai’s net profits rose to levels of 692.2 million riyals in the three-month period ending in March, compared to 635 million riyals during the same quarter last year.
Revenues reached 5.4 billion riyals during the same period, while operating profits reached 868.8 million riyals.
Marai Saudi Arabia also reported earnings per share of 0.7 riyals.
She explained that the increase in revenues came as a result of the positive contribution from the dairy and poultry sectors.
The statement pointed out that the group's strong performance was able to overcome the negative impact of the decline in the value of the Egyptian pound in the current quarter, stressing that it was well managed at the local operational level.
