Gold futures rose during the Asian session on Thursday.

According to the New York Mercantile Exchange's COMEX classification, December gold futures were trading at USD1,995.85 per ounce at press time, up 0.15%.

The session was previously traded at USD1,999.25 per ounce. Gold may find support points at USD1967.20 and resistance at USD2009.80.

Dollar Index contracts, which measure the US currency's performance against a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.19% to trade at USD103.63.

Meanwhile on the Comex, December silver rose 0.19% to trade at USD23.73 per ounce while December copper fell 0.12% to trade at USD3.76 per pound.
