India's oil imports rose to their highest level, according to official figures, in ten months last November.

According to Arabiya Net, according to figures from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell of the Ministry of Oil, imports rose by 7.5%, last month, compared to October, to reach 18.3 million tons.

The rise in imports coincided with the increase in crude refining in the country to the highest level since February last year, as India is the third largest consumer and importer of oil in the world.
