Quotes a decree issued today, President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed appointed Khaled Al-Tamimi, Governor of the Central Bank,


According to Arab Net, Al-Tamimi, who previously served as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Abdul Hamid Saeed Al Ahmadi Shop.


Tamimi has 30 years of experience in banking, financial services, asset management and investments.


The agency said Ahmadi had decided to leave his post for retirement.


The deputy prime minister, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, praised Ahmadi's efforts under exceptional circumstances during the Kovid-19 pandemic, adding that he had worked to ensure that the two financial and monetary systems were not affected by the crisis.


Al-Tamimi was held in government or government entities over three decades, including the membership of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank and the General Authority for Pensions and Social Insurance and the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du). He also served as Executive Director of the True Asset Chamber at the Abu Dhabi Investment Council.


The Loriors of the Emirates Central Bank of the Emirates today, reviewed the subjects on the agenda and highlighted a note by the Bank's control department, which included proposals for financial and policies for the licensing of financial institutions, as well as a note on enforcement procedures taken against the entrepreneures and regulations of the Central Bank .


The Council approved the requests for establishing national banks and institutions in the State, with approval of a license to establish a specialized bank-based bank system.


The attendees also briefed the report of the overall economic support plan and their role in mitigating the financial and economic pressures caused by the Kovid-19 pandemic.
