Banks listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange recorded record profits during the second quarter of 2026, supported by the year-on-year growth in profits of the ten banks listed on Tadawul, while profits rose during the first half, led by Al Rajhi and Al Ahli.

A compiled statistic prepared by Mubasher Info, based on bank disclosures on the Tadawul market website, showed that quarterly profits rose by about 8.2% during the second quarter of 2026 on an annual basis, with an increase of 1.88 billion riyals compared to profits in the same quarter of last year.

Saudi listed banks achieved net profits of 24.87 billion riyals after zakat and tax in the second quarter of this year, which is considered the highest quarterly profit ever, compared to 22.98 billion riyals in the same quarter of 2025.

Al Rajhi Bank topped the list of profits with a net of 7.01 billion riyals, recording an increase of 14% compared to the second quarter of 2025, followed by the National Bank of Saudi Arabia with a net of 6.6 billion riyals after achieving growth of 7.6%.

Al Rajhi and Al Ahli accounted for 54.76% of Saudi banks’ profits in the second quarter of 2026, totaling 13.62 billion riyals.

Riyad Bank’s profits in the second quarter of this year amounted to 2.65 billion riyals, as it witnessed an increase of 2% on an annual basis, followed by Saudi First Bank with a growth of 9.6% and a net profit of 2.33 billion riyals.

Alinma Bank’s profits rose 1.4% to 1.595 billion riyals, Saudi French Bank BSF with a profit of 1.49 billion riyals and a growth of 5.99%, followed by Arab National Bank with profits of 1.42 billion riyals and an increase of 6.5% compared to the second quarter of last year.

Bank Albilad achieved an increase in its profits by 3.37% to reach 791.6 million riyals, followed by the Saudi Investment Bank with a 3.63% increase to 531.1 million riyals, and finally Bank Aljazira with an increase of 15.9% to reach net profits of 442.8 million riyals.

On a quarterly basis, profits during the second quarter of 2026 increased by 3.82% compared to the first quarter of the same year, during which they amounted to 23.95 billion riyals.

First half profits reach 48.8 billion riyals... Al Rajhi continues its dominance

Saudi listed banks rose by 7.9% year-on-year during the first half of 2026, an increase of 3.57 billion riyals compared to the same period last year.

Net profit attributable to shareholders during the first half of this year amounted to 48.82 billion riyals, compared to 45.25 billion riyals in the same period last year.

Al Rajhi Bank continued to lead Saudi banks in net profits during the first half of 2026, with a net profit of 13.76 billion riyals, recording an increase of 14.16% on an annual basis.

Al-Ahli came in second with net profits of 13.03 billion riyals, recording an increase of 7.16% on an annual basis, followed by Al-Riyadh with a net of 5.26 billion riyals and growth of 3.5%, then Al-Awwal with 4.42 billion riyals and an increase of 3.6%.

Al-Inma’s profits rose 6.2% to 3.27 billion riyals, followed by BSF with a net profit of 2.87 billion riyals and an increase of 4.6%, followed by Al-Rabeeh Bank with profits exceeding 2.78 billion riyals and an increase of 5.38% compared to the first half of 2025.

Bank Albilad’s profits rose in the first half of 2026 by 4.2% to 1.53 billion riyals, Investment Bank with profits exceeding one billion riyals and growth of 3.4%, followed by Bank Aljazira with profits of 847.9 million riyals and an increase of 14.1%.
