Kuwaiti companies ranked first in the Gulf in opening branches in Dubai for the year 2018, accounting for 63.3% of the total branches of Gulf companies.

The head of the Kuwaiti Business Council in Dubai and the northern regions, Lama Jassem Buresli, revealed that the number of commercial licenses held by Kuwaiti investors in Dubai increased 34% during 2018 compared to 2017.

The number of Kuwaiti investors in various commercial areas in Dubai reached about 6507 investors, including 6181 businessmen and 326 businesswomen until the end of 2018, according to Dubai economic data.

Restaurants and cafes activity issues the list of Kuwaiti professional activities, achieving the fifth rank in terms of the number of licenses in this field in the Emirate of Dubai.

Kuwaiti restaurants and cafes also ranked fifth amongst their counterparts from other nationalities in Dubai by number.

The Kuwaiti tourist ranks third in the list of the most aware of consumer rights among international tourists visiting Dubai.

Dubai welcomed more than 317,000 Kuwaiti visitors in 2018, according to Dubai Tourism data.

The Kuwaiti Business Council is the first business community of its kind outside the State of Kuwait, as it was established in 2016 under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a non-profit council.
