Gold futures fell during the Asian session on Wednesday.

According to the New York Mercantile Exchange's COMEX classification, February gold futures were trading at USD2,033.90 per ounce at time of writing, down 0.04%.

The session was previously traded lower at USD2,032.90 per ounce. Gold may find support points at USD2022.70 and resistance at USD2071.10.

Dollar Index contracts, which measure the US currency's performance against a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.00% to trade at USD102.28.

Meanwhile on the Comex, March silver fell 0.11% to trade at USD23.12 per ounce while March copper rose 0.25% to trade at USD3.77 per pound.
