Oil prices rose in early Asian trading on Tuesday, extending gains for a third straight day after shipping disruptions raised supply concerns.

Brent crude futures were up 16 cents, or 0.2 percent, at $82.69 a barrel by 0106 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up 15 cents, or 0.2 percent, at $77.73.

Both crudes rose more than 1 percent at settlement on Monday.
