The United States announced the purchase of medical supplies from Russia that include respirators and personal protection equipment to tackle the emerging corona virus (Covid 19).

In a follow-up phone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian Vladimir Putin last Monday, the United States said, The United States has agreed to purchase medical supplies needed to counter the virus from Russia.

Ortagos explained that the supplies include respirators and personal protective equipment, noting that these supplies were delivered to the (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in the city of (New York) on Wednesday.

She added that both countries have provided humanitarian assistance to the other in times of crisis in the past, and there is no doubt that they will do so again in the future, stressing that this is the time to work together to overcome a common enemy threatens all of our lives.

Ortagos pointed out that the G20 member states agreed last week to work together to eradicate the virus and we are working closely with these and other countries to ensure the arrival of Supplies to those who need them.

The leaders of the G20 had pledged in the closing statement of the meeting of the extraordinary virtual leaders of the countries of the group headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz on March 26 last pumping 5 trillion Dollars to protect the world economy from the effects of the emerging Corona virus (Covid 19).
