Saudi Arabia stocks closed higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Construction, Hotels & Tourism and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close of trading in Riyadh, the Saudi General Index rose by 0.90%.
Top Gainers and Fallers in TASI Today
Among the leading stocks in the Saudi General Index, Thimar Development Holding Company (TADAWUL:4160) stood out, rising 9.97% to close at SAR 40.80. Al Babtain Power and Telecommunication Company (TADAWUL:TADAWUL:2320) continued to rise by 9.94% to close at SAR 39.80, while Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair & Co. (TADAWUL:TADAWUL:4240) rose by 9.90% to close at SAR 8.77.
As for the weakest performers at the end of today’s trading, Baazeem Trading Company (TADAWUL:4051) closed down 9.05% to SAR 6.53. Wafra Industrial and Development Company (TADAWUL:2100) fell 6.45% to close at SAR 39.90, while Al Moammar Information Systems Company (TADAWUL:7200) fell 4.38% to SAR 157.20.
The number of rising stocks exceeded the number of falling stocks in the Saudi Stock Exchange, as 191 companies recorded rises compared to 100 companies that closed in decline, while 25 companies remained unchanged.
